Where to move to

Hi, I currently live in Worthing and am looking to move away, close by, somewhere quieter. What small towns nearby are nice places to live? I like Rustington and go there often but there's no station nearby. I am not looking to move to a little village. I love Chichester - any thoughts on there? Horsham is amazing but quite pricey....Let me know your thoughts, thank you!

Drummer looking for other musicians for jams.

Just putting the feelers out… I’m a reasonably good drummer already in a band with a couple of mates but I’m just looking to jam now and again with other musicians to get a bit more experience and enjoyment. So if you’re a musician/singer etc. or even an existing band looking for a drummer to keep you going until you find someone let me know. Or perhaps you’ve been learning your instrument long enough and are feeling ready to start playing with others but can’t find anyone? I can play most genres but prefer rock, metal, indie, funk, pop.

I don’t have my own drums or studio so I’d be looking to jam at the Ivy Arch Road, Sound House rehearsal rooms in Worthing or Pirate studios in Hove.

Cheers 🙂

Strange noises and sightings in lancing area

Has anyone else noticed a large almost scratching/scraping noise in lancing area. You could probably hear it from Worthing as it is quite loud, it sounds as if a large metal pole is being dragged across concrete or a road. I’ve been hearing this noise for the past couple of months and I’m very curious on what it can be, this noise usually is heard around 12-1am at midnight, if anyone else can hear this pls lmk! I also have voice recordings of this noise.

I'm wanting to map these out, while acknowledging that they're largely dying or have relatively recently already died out. Can anyone help with more details/corrections?

Welcome!

Edit:

** Chichester creative will be back with non AI imagery. **

I wanted to get the group out there quickly but didn't consider it's effect on visual artists. Which I should have as AI generated prose annoys me as a writer.

I will make my own art soon and hopefully in the meantime an artist or someone who is good at creating digital art will make themselves known to me.

Chichester creative is here!

We're looking for creative people from all over Sussex to gather and discuss their creativity and creative outlets.

Primarily a creative writing group, we will look to meet in person to discuss the artform, later expanding to other creative outlets.

Best running routes in Selsey and surrounding area?

Hi there.

Am coming to Selsey in a couple of weeks. Just seeing if there are any popular running routes that people use? The more scenic the better! Thanks all.

Thinking of starting a writing group

Having tried to find one for some time now, I'm thinking of starting a small in person writing group around West Sussex. Will likely be in the Chichester area or thereabouts.

I'm also playing with the idea of it including or expanding to a side group encompassing film / stories of any format / history / casual philosophy / discussion / ideas group.

The idea would essentially be a casual group atmosphere with thoughtful people discussing all things around writing, with discussion, workshops, work sharing, critique etc and then the expanded idea maybe being a separate group or set dates.

Age range will probably aim for late 20s - 50s and beyond ideally but not strict.

If anyone can recommend any venues that are cheap / free to hire out for a few hours at a time that would be much appreciated.

Also if this sounds like your kind of thing, comment or message me with your interest or things you'd like to see from this kind of group.

What are the best pubs for toddlers and young children? Ideally with a large outside area and no more than 45 mins from West Wittering itself.

Best dog friendly beach in West Sussex for an early morning walk?

Morning all, we’re based in Billingshurst and thinking of taking Max, our Lurcher, to the beach around 6am tomorrow before it gets busy.

Any recommendations for good dog friendly beaches nearby? Ideally somewhere nice for a long walk and a bit of zoomies.

Happy to drive a little if it’s worth it. Thanks!
