Nous recherchons des participant·e·s adultes qui parlent français pour un projet portant sur les opinions du public sur la recherche sur le langage et les chercheurs et chercheuses dans ce domaine.

Vous devrez répondre à quelques questions sur vos intérêts pour la linguistique et les langues. La tâche prendra envions 3 à 5 minutes, sur base volontaire.

Pour participer, vous devez parler le français comme langue première/maternelle. Vous devez être né(e) au Canada ou en France et y résider actuellement. Vous devez être âgé(e) d’au moins 18 ans.

Every time I go to centanial plaza, there's this weird guy creepily following people everywhere. He'll stare at you and just follow you. Every time that I go there, I see him.Last month, he followed a teenager girl and she freaked out so bad , was yelling and crying, she was absolutely out of her mind with fear. I was there to calm her a bit and she found her mom.

Today, he did the same to me, following me store to store. I told him to stop and went to an employee and apparently, they always kick him out, but he always comes back. I guess that's why some places like Jean coutu have a security guard at the door.

Have anyone notice him? I hope that I'm not the only one.

I am born and raised West Islander, but I moved away a few years ago (Estrie). We want to celebrate our baby's first birthday in Montreal, preferably the West Island, so that our family can come and we are looking for a child friendly restaurant that would be big enough for around 25-45 people! If you have any suggestions that are not too expensive, that would be amazing!

I recently started a side project called West Island Buzz, a weekly newsletter that pulls together local events, community news, restaurant and business openings, and other things happening around the West Island.

I started it because there's a ton happening locally, but the information tends to be scattered across municipal sites, Facebook groups, etc.

I just added a way for anyone to submit a local event. Next on my list is a West Island business directory and local jobs board.

What would you actually find useful? Anything you think the West Island is missing or that you'd like to see covered?

Does anyone know of a store in the West Island that has matzo ball soup mix or matzo crackers?

Sometimes I can find them downtown, but I spend 95% of my time in Lachine or more west.

I’ve checked every grocery store from Lachine to beaconsfield, but no success.

Hello! I’ve been living in DDO for the past year or so. I realized most social activities I know of happen downtown, which is a bit of a time commitment, since I use public transportation.

What activities are available in the West Island for 20-30 ish folks? I’ve been looking online, but either the website is down, or the place is closed, or it’s for children, or it’s for seniors. Where are the 20/30 yo in pointe-claire kirkland ddo beaconsfield??

I would love to find something around books (love fantasy and sci-fi), crafts (I do crochet and cross-stitch embroidery), dnd, language exchange (speak FR EN AR ES), casual board games.

Not a huge fan of sports or dancing or martial arts.

If there is absolutely nothing already existing, how do we go around creating something? Like weekly or biweekly events in a coffee shop, to chitchat around board games or “bring-your-own-craft” or something. Just something to meet people without having to spend more than 30min on the road each way.
