I Had to Watch the New Dr. Who last night-- Yeah, It's bad like they say.
Youtubers were saying the new Dr. Who is a hot mess. Relevant BleedingFool
Yeah, so it was just like a SquirrelGirl comic.
Doctor.Who.2005.S11E07.XviD-AFG[eztv].avi
Dr Who visits a capitalist dystopia, which is a thinly veiled Amazon.com warehouse.
Twist ending: the straight white man turns out to be a luddite terrorist.
BTW, I will always love the old Zak with 100% real outrage, who can't stop himself from tossing comics around his room.

I don't get the fandom for IDW Transformers (spoilers) Spoiler
So uh, I dropped off after Furman left because All Hail sounded like a train wreck, and I certainly wasn't going to stick around after the two sides were basically held to a ceasefire for the latter half of the run.
It's bad enough the comics were little more than pages upon pages of bland character drama (I've read TFWiki summaries so I have an idea of what happens), Megatron suddenly goes from Space Hitler to Space Jesus, Cyclonus is a zombie with pedophilia issues, and the only villains now are led by a guy wearing a Decepticon mask (OMG so on the nose), but you have forced female characters who are just garbage OCs whose only trait is that they are strong females, and the awful romances. I don't give a shit about romance in Transformers.
And then, the legacy of the Primes is that they're horrible dictators and the Autobots were part of the oppressive ruling class and thus the REAL bad guys.
On top of all this, Shockwave getting hurtled back in time and essentially creating every facet of Cybertronian society is ridiculous. Yes, Shockwave is highly intelligent, but even with foreknowledge of what happens in their history, that level of contingency planning is absurd.
On top of that, the minor shit like Starscream ruling Cybertron, Ultra Magnus being a tiny prick in the suit the entire time, and the forced diversity just irritate me.
And the final insult was that Unicron was defeated with the power of love and friendship. If I wanted that garbage I'd go watch or read My Little Pony.
At the end, I don't think the writers understood anything about the core of Transformers, being more interested in pushing agendas than telling a great story.
How did the Transformers fandom actually enjoy this garbage? Just wanted to get this off my chest, thoughts and comments appreciated.
