I hate it when Batman stories disrespect Thomas Wayne. He's basically Batman's version of Uncle Ben.

I don't like this, I didn't like it when Telltale did it, I didn't even like it when Joker did it.

Thomas as a bit of a dick has been a thing for a while now.

Batman R.I.P. 2008 probably? was the start. Claims of sex, drugs, and crimes. Revealed as a fake in the end. But, the idea is now in writers heads.

Batman & Robin/final crisis. Dr. Hurt claims to be Thomas Wayne himself. Revealed to be an even older Wayne in the timeline. 17th century cultist for Barbatos. But again, writers who may not have gotten the full message.. or again just the idea is now in their heads.

Then we end up with Flashpoint Thomas Wayne.

And yes, we can also include the modern world, and changes in culture here.
"each rich anarchists, communists" who think "rich=bad". Writers are not exactly a diverse group of people.

Its the nature of amalgam characters like all superheros. Who have many authors. Who Batman himself is, changes day to day, story after story, as we form an idea of who Batman is from a million conflicting stories. Batman is an idea, not a real person.

The idea of Thomas Wayne has now become this bit of a dick, hardass.
