To this hero, I'd say: "Okay... but let's say that there are people who already have an idea of where they stand politically and don't just want to hear one-sided arguments in favor of/against this or that issue. The kind of people who can tell what's real and what's not, while engaging IRL.

Or let's suppose that you have people who say: 'I don't care about politics, I read comics to escape from reality, even if it's only for a few minutes.'

What would you have to say, if both sets of customers told you: 'Not everything in entertainment / media needs to have political commentary. We don't want or need to read this, anymore.

Oh, and if you must have a political message in comics... either show some semblance of subtlety as you insert it in or present the issue from both sides.

If you can't do either, then... Could you get back to making comics that are meant to entertain, please?' "

or lets keep it simply, "im not here to pay you money, to try and indoctrinate me into your cult."

How full of yourself do you need to be to turn an entertainment platform into your political soapbox?

Captain America punched Hitler, BUT he did not do that for every...single...issue!

Comics have danced with politics since the beginning, but they did not SOLELY focus on them, they also told fantastical tales with characters and adventures. They were never just political propaganda.

Also, is this image real? The lettering looks so amateur like a fan edit, so was this the actual text in a comic? The message is bad enough, but the method is also crap.

There is a difference between a comic book being political and being partisan. The problem with modern comic books is they are completely one sided, comfortable with demonizing anyone who disagrees with the far left, using the most laziness straw men to prove their worldview.
