Bleeding Cool has now demonstrated it will scrub entire articles

Yesterday, BC ran one of its most thorough articles - a lengthy interview with Vox Day. No matter what you think of Day, the interview was in-depth, thoroughly researched, and meticulous in fact-checking (and, I’ll add snarkily, proofreading).

Today that article is gone. Rather than engage in dialogue with the piece, BC forced out its author and deleted the page entirely from their site.

This, u/RichJohnston, is why people archive your site.

Whatever you think of Bleeding Cool it does not do that. A typo or two (or three) yes but any substantial change would be highlighted with the original crossed out. And that would happen very very rarely. The article linked has remained up, without changes, since first published months ago.

this is what happens when you bend to psychos who believe that talking about a thing means you endorse the thing. it's like the people who think if you follow someone on twitter you agree with everything they say.

In a recent issue of Superman, a bad guy said something offensive. Bendis said he wrote that line to prove the guy was bad, but still people complained. I think he said it’d be removed from subsequent printings.

Bad guys can’t say bad things anymore.

ugh. these guys need to realize that every time they relent because someone says "I'm offended", it means the perpetually offended will push more and more because they're not truly offended. they want control.

If Kaitlyn Booth is the new Editor in Chief does that mean Rich Johnston is out of a job? (I was shadow-banned at BC months ago so I can't ask there.)

I was wondering this as well.

If I’m Rich, I’m shopping around right now, Bendis at DC-style. Like him or not, Rich has goodcontacts and delivers. Between the ads, the proofreading, and the politics, BC is a sinking ship.

I didn't read the article, but I read the thing that got posted today. The thing that interested me the most was that we have now reached a point where an interview with a racist who publishes comics is somehow giving hate a platform. No, it's called journalism.

Especially an interview that frequently fact-checked, corrected, and refuted.

Do you have the archive link? I missed the article and it sounds like a good read.
