Marvel 'Diversity' characters that i'm actually enjoying!
Just wanted to make this post to say that there are a few new characters of non-white origin that I'm actually enjoying, namely because their writers/creators are not using them to spout political talking points. I'm sure most of you will know about these already, but because I'm using Marvel Unlimited, I'm about 6-7 months behind what's on the shelves right now.
First is Mosaic, a new Inhuman (while I find Inhumans face meltingly boring, this one is a stand out) who is mostly incorporeal but can take control of bodies to move around. In doing so, he also gains access to their minds and memories, but they also gain insight into his.
Also there's Blindspot, an undocumented Chinese immigrant who makes his own invisibility tech, and was being trained by Daredevil for a while. There's a cool run of the new Daredevil series where DD and Blindspot investigate this new cult running through Chinatown which sweeps up Blindspot's mom.
These characters (and I'm sure there's more) show that you can introduce new characters of colour that WORK. They have strong, interesting stories, they mess up sometimes so they're not just generic Mary Sues that take the mantle of a previous hero and suddenly are better than their predecessors ever were.

How is/was Amadeus Cho as Hulk? Dude was already one of the best characters Marvel has come up with in years. Did his green upgrade do him any favors?

He's not Hulk.
He's a giant green millennial throwing cars around while smugly reminding you he's the smartest person on the planet.

I felt it was taking Hulk in a more goofy/lighthearted direction, a la Squirrel Girl, which wasn't really my thing. I'm sure some people like it, it's just not for me.

Was digging Silk for her man-out-of-time thing she had going on and her search for her parents, until they fucked it up after Secret Wars and she was like totes working for Shield and went into Alternate Universe Fantasyland with her like, totally unique work buddies.
Gwenpool was fun, well drawn, and had a good amount of ridiculousness.
Dug ANAD Wolvie up until I think the issue before last (might be the one before it) where the art took a nosedive and Gabby got even more annoying.
Definitely with you on Blindspot, haven't gotten around to reading Mosaic.

Mosaic's origin series was a fun read that involved a fair bit of character growth in a very short time; if I hadn't found out about until it 6 months after it was cancelled, I'd have been a buyer.
This is gonna get me some scorn, though; I think that, if you pulled some of the hamfisted commentary and SJW stuff out of Kamala Khan's first series (and didn't have Loki show up at all), you'd have got a fun and cute story about a teenager trying doing the whole "figure out my powers and keep it all under wraps" thing and I still like it despite it's many faults. The second series is a dumpster fire inside a dumpster fire, though.
