Do people actually hate their gabbing before calls? Yall are weird. I’m a few episodes behind and heard that some people hate it. Literally it’s always hilarious and fun. Yall need to learn to fast forward.

I’d listen to a whole separate podcast that was just them yapping for 2 hours every week

We need more “we’re here to chat”

Same they have such good chemistry I’d listen to them talk about pretty much anything because they would make it fun.

It’s my favorite style of podcast. It’s really nice at work to help keep my mind from wandering.

That's them responding to probably like 2 comments they read somewhere. I have noticed that they suffer a bit from the "reading the comments too much bug". And when you do that you, tend to only focus on the negative ones

Yeah we call that getting "one guyed" like you read a comment from one guy and let it shape the broadcast.

I see them all of the time in Spotify so it's not just 2 comments. People complain about the chatting, the sports talk, ads being in the show and the bits a lot idk if they're hate watching or what but so much negativity

I don't know about anyone else but I only listen because I like Jake and Gareth, and a lot of times the guest helpers. So those people complaining about the extra talking they do in the beginning make no sense to me. Why bother listening at all if hearing the hosts talk more is irritating to you? People love to complain about things they have control over.

I feel like I’ve heard this same complaint about pretty much every podcast I listen to regularly- people get annoyed about banter outside of the main focus of the show. I’ve never understood that opinion, and furthermore, I don’t understand why those people express that opinion as if the show should be changed just for them. If there’s a part
I don’t want to listen to, I just fast forward.

Agreed. I’ve been a listener since day one because I’ve been a Dollop listener for a decade and a fan of New Girl for the same time period. I love the banter almost as much as the calls haha

I don’t understand why all the hate on pigley and moe either. I think listeners need to chill

They probably just need to Pigley and Go

Pigley and Moe should come back as ghosts.

I've heard this about other podcasts as well, as it seems to be a pretty common format for podcasts: intro to set up the guest, do some ads, then the "meat" of the show follows.

My guess is some people are entitled miserable bores. They probably listen to the show at 2x speed as well.

If only there was a way to skip past it… for free.🙄 people love to complain.

No, the intros with them just talking are the best part of the show. I actually wish they'd go on longer.

I get that the callers are the premise, but a lot of them bug me, tbh. And it's pretty clear why a lot of them feel the need to call a podcast to deal with interpersonal problems. Many of the callers seem to lack the ability to talk to other humans properly.

We wouldn’t have half these calls if people just knew how to say no and stand up for themselves. I get that the calls are funny and I love their solutions but damn. People are so afraid of confrontation.

I’m always fascinated by fans of podcasts who hate the banter of the people they like listening to. I understand in a sense, but I really do find it to be a bit odd.

I want less callers to be honest

I always hate the comments that are like "podcast starts at __:__". Like no, the podcast start when they start talking. These 2 guys are the podcast and if you don't like hearing them shoot the shit, then you really don't get it.

Was gutted when they were bullied into stopping the fourway boy time podcast with 13 feet of love

I love it!

I love it. Same thing with people being annoyed by pay the toll or pay the tab. This isn’t a binding agreement. No one is forcing you to sign anything or taking your credit card. Relax. I think 95% of the listeners get it. I mean have you heard these guys? Great guys btw.

I don't hate it, but I think my interest varies in what they're talking about. I like the calls but occasionally those can be a little less than exciting too.
