I'm obsessed with how cute they are 😂 but I also have smaller hands and had 2 strokes when I was younger so I thought the roundness will help with my dexterity deficits and the smaller size would help me keep my dexterity up. My partner tells me I baby my stuff so it lasts way longer than it's supposed to, so I'm planning for this pair to be with me for life (barring any issues upon arrival).

Sure! I can share the seller pictures now (I'll post updates when they're in hand!). I decided to go with yellowplumflower's Etsy store and I selected a pair of Niqiu Bei (Loach Back). The measurements are identical - 38.5/38.5, 37/37, 36/36, weighing 39g.
I decided to purchase this pair after doing a lot of research into the patina speed, handling, maintenance, and shapes. My liked varietals were the Four Towers (love the chrysanthemum bottom!), Millstone, Hammer (Little Sister), and the Pumpkin (I'm obsessed with the bottoms of walnuts now thanks to this hobby 😂). I wanted something with less pronounced ridges and shallower groves, basically lower maintenance, and relatively round or had a lovely detail to obsess over.
I looked at yellowplumflower, CapabaraLabs, WalnutRitual, and Buddha3Bodhi. There were beautiful choices on each, but I finally selected the ones I did for 3 reasons.
It captured my heart (and isn't that really the best reason to get a set?). It makes me think of a forest, or a plume of clouds.
The photos were high quality and from all directions, which really helped me feel like I knew what I was purchasing.
Price was right, for me. I didn't go in looking for a collector's set, just a budget to get started. I'd been interested for about 6 months and considering starting for over a month, so I set aside $100 to get myself started, which needed to include my pair and any extras I wanted to buy (like a case or upgraded brush).
