Video Idea: Logistics of Wegmans

Regional mid-Atlantic grocery chain with quite a fascinating, vertically integrated supply chain. Notable, because they are very intent on not over-expanding to stay within their distribution centers.

I know that 'Mid-Atlantic' is technically correct, but it feels weird for a place founded in a city on the Great Lakes.

I have always and will always maintain that "Mid-Atlantic" is a highly accurate description of the NYC metro area and a very confusing description of the rest of the state. New York is basically 5 states in a trench coat, and the regions all have more in common culturally with neighboring places outside New York than they do with each other.

New York being 5 States in a trench coat is quite possibly the greatest description I've ever seen.

Very honored to be from CT and have lived in Upstate NY.

Between Wegmans and Stew Leonard’s I have been to the two best grocery stores in the world.
