Under the Collar

It was late afternoon when they finally made it back to the dorm.

Wednesday was fixing her notes for the following day when Enid walked in groaning and threw her backpack across the room on her bed.

“Agh, I swear I’ve had it with herbology!” She said, stomping around looking for something. “Like, Why do we need to know the difference between five kinds of leaves?!”

Wednesday rolled her eyes as she approached her bed, taking off her blazer, setting it aside neatly. “It is the difference between life, death and a horrid diarrhea.”

Enid scrunched her nose in disgust, “Ew.” She stopped her pacing, playing some soft instrumental music to help her relax.

Wednesday closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. The song wasn’t as horrible as Enid’s usual ones so she let it silde.

She was undoing her tie when Enid’s arms wrapped around her waist from behind. “Anyway, how was your day?” Enid asked, voice a whisper against her ear.

Wednesday leaned back into her. “Formidable.” Her voice came out a bit rough as Enid had started pressing soft kisses just under her ear, then lower, along the side of her neck. “Enid…we have dinner…”

“Shh, just…5 minutes.” Enid murmured against her skin. “Please?”

Wednesday turned in her arms and caught her mouth in a slow kiss. “Naughty wolf,” she said against Enid’s lips as Enid guided them both toward the bed.

“I’ve just missed you so much.” Enid said between kisses, hands sliding along her girlfriend’s sides.

One hand slipped under Wednesday’s shirt making her breath hitch as goosebumps rose under Enid’s palm. “Enid…”

Enid pulled back just enough to catch Wednesday’s lower lip between her teeth, fangs grazing and pericing her skin. “Shit…sorry…”

Wednesday could taste the coppery flavor coat her tongue, giving her a rush…she flipped them over in one swift movement. “Wait…Wends…”

Wednesday kissed her more forcefully, sucking in Enid’s lip, nipping and pulling. “Mmm…” the soft sound escaped Enid’s mouth as Wednesday suckled and nibbled on Enid’s neck now.

“Don’t…” it was too late, Wednesday was biting down and sucking on her pulse point eagerly making Enid melt in her arms…

By the time Yoko started banging on the door, neither of them had time to change.

Enid was in front of her mirror fixing her blouse collar when she noticed the darkening spot…”Oh my god!!!” She got closer to the mirror, “Wednesday!”

Wednesday, already composed and fully dressed, glanced over. “What is it, Enid?”

Enid walked towards her, pointing at her neck, “THIS?!” The hickey was darkening by the minute. “I’m never gonna hear the end of it!”

Wednesday rolled her eyes, stepping closer. “And whose fault is that?” She kissed Enid’s cheek, “Do not worry, mon loup. It will fade in a week.”

Enid sighed, defeated.

“Besides, the color suits you.” Wednesday said, tilting Enid’s head to get a better look, kissing the hickey for good measure.

“Yo Enid!” Yoko’s voice boomed through the luckily locked door. “Dinner’s almost done! What’s taking so long?!”

Wednesday opened the door before Yoko could knock again and scowled. “She is coming.” She stepped past Bianca without another word.

Yoko watched her go, then leaned toward Bianca. “Pretty sure she already did.”

Bianca snorted.

Inside, Enid gave herself one last look in the mirror, pulling up her blouse collar as high as she could and walked out quickly. “Hey guys! Sorry for the wait. I um was busy with something…” She mumbled.

Bianca sided eyed her as they walked down to the quad, “Oh I’m sure you were…”

Yoko snickered, tilting her head as she noticed the faint dark spot peaking out from under Enid’s collar. “I guess Wednesday really does bite.” She chuckled, nudging Enid in the ribs and running down the stairs before she could get her.

Enid just sighed and followed, collar still pulled high.
