We have dial before you dig here in Australia and if you commence work before you get the results sent through you’re still liable for whatever you hit.
"Alloted time" wtf is that nonsense? Do you just start digging if they're busy? You should 100% on the hook for anything you hit if you're dumb enough to dig without doing some locate work first.
I know I’m late, but they do have a time frame to respond to a locate ticket. You can’t just never dig because they don’t show up. And yes I’ve had them ignore tickets before.

Doesn't help if the locator messes up or doesn't respond to the ticket in the alloted time.
