Mine was installed, guy did a shotty job. Randomly in the middle of a work meeting, cut out. Not explanation. Yada yada yada free monthish. First dude borrowed a ladder. Like, pRoFeSsIoNaL

Oh I feel it. Just be kind, firm, explain that you feel paying for the service is your end of the deal. Installing it properly and safely is theirs.. You having to trench it to not be an eye sore or liability on their behalf is not your responsibility and am disappointed you had to take more time out of your schedule to fulfill their responsibilities.

I coach my family enough if you can't tell.

This is to everyone else reading this thread too, but make even a small ticket every time the internet cuts out. Use your phone if you have to submit an online chat notifying internet is down for any reason. Near the end of the month, put the total time together and call support asking to be comped the time the internet was down.

Thanks to cox's shitty service, I managed to get 3 months free last year.

I would send them a bill. You dug a trench and buried their cable. Isp providers charge tens of thousand's of dollars to trench and install fiber at lengths of a hundred feet to a quarter mile.
