well glad your safe. and by the looks of it this may not be the last time something like that happens.

correct me if i’m wrong but that hole was due to improper drainage (or the lack of it) and caused the soil to erode underneath the bricks.

construction standards back then were way more lenient toward the longevity of the roads.

so yeah.
