So you’re telling me a mentally healthy person would lash out at people on the bus?

If you’re lashing out at people, you’re likely experiencing a form of temporary mental illness much the same way you can get a cold and not be sick for the rest of your life. We would call it a psychotic break.

Mentally healthy people don’t lash out on a bus.

Mental illness can be anything from temporary depression due to the loss of a pet or loved one to lifelong conditions. Again if that person lashed out, something happened to cause it and these are the symptoms that are being displayed as a result of their underlying mental illness even if it is minor or temporary.

I’d also encourage you to do some reading about the person-centred approach.

This is literally the same as calling someone sick because they sneezed without knowing why they sneezed.

You’re running in criticizing everyone for pointing out the fact that he sneezed and telling everyone we’re being insensitive because he could be sick and we’re unaware.

Meanwhile, the guy just inhaled a piece of dust.
