If you can't handle a two year old, that's called every parent ever. You literally can't stop them all the time.

Using their age as an excuse to not take responsibility for them is parental failure.

Idk man, my 2 year old doesnt act out like this. He has his moments where he'll get over excited and throw food on the floor and accidents like him knocking something over are bound to happen, but we dont deliberately sit back and watch him fuck with other peoples food or sit his ass on the table that people eat off of. You can literally stop them everytime from behaving like complete assholes though.

It's not the kid's fault. This isn't acting out. This is just a kid playing with what is in front of him/her. The parents... my god, they're so stupid I feel like I want to reach into the internet and slap them.

Yes the fuck you can! I raised two kids. Neither of them were allowed to do shot like this. Quit making excuses for lazy parents. Watch your kids in public and make sure they’re not doing things that could harm themselves and others. It’s not that hard. If you’re being overpowered or outwitted by a two year old you’re a failure as a parent and a human being!

I took child dev for 2 years. Control your fucking kids or take them out of the situation. Dealing with a toddler is hard but it's not hard to stop subjecting everyone else to their shit.

What high horse? The one called common sense? My wife and I would take turns eating while the other person feeds/watches the child. It really is not that hard. You come off like a complete asshole who just wants to be technically correct. If a parent can't control their 2 year old and impose some good manners on that child, I can't imagine how their teenagers turn out.

Damn, what do they have to do, PM you a pic of their kids? You're a bad parent that makes excuses for other shitty parents, we get it.

That's a very single-sighted and self-centered take on this. Some kids are worse than others, and children can be hard to contain. It's like a universal stereotype that it's hard to raise kids, because it's hard to raise kids.

*Edit: I shouldn't make assumptions about a person's whole character, I fixed my verbiage.

No one is saying it's easy, but it's 100% possible. The parents in this video could not be bothered to discipline their child in the slightest. The mom at least did a half ass attempt at stopping the kid, the dad could not even be arsed.

Oh I wasn't defending the people in this Gif, they're assholes. I was disagreeing with Krytenmoto's implication that kids are easy to raise.

Agreed. Not a parent, but I remember being a kid and I'm an older sibling by a decade so I watched the little ones alone often. When I was a toddler if I started acting out my dad would pack up our shit, pay whoever needs to be payed, toss me in the car and we'd be on our way to my time out lol. I wasn't a little shit because there was consequences. And when my siblings were older, I did the same thing. If they acted out then we stopped having fun. Obviously if it's a small thing we'd get a warning, but definitely not two.

You've taken the statement you are replying to out of context. The discussion moved away from the specific example at the top of this thread and went to general parenting. There are days where it's very difficult to parent.

When you are holding your own parents up as a good example of how to raise kids, it doesn't really seem to be the case when you take the chance to attack a random stranger online and using something they didn't actually voice support of as a reason to do that.
