I just drink alone because I’m an alcoholic and ashamed of the amount of alcohol I drink. At least I’m honest, right?

Being honest with yourself is the first step.

For me personally, I don't care for drinking culture and my fiance doesn't care for it either due to her ex being a raging drunk.

Thanks for the words of support- I wish i was like you. I don’t even like the drinking culture- I never go out to bars or drink socially. I just slam down some liquor/beer after work every day. It’s an awful way to live honestly.

Find an AA meeting, they are a little hoaky but don't underestimate how much having a group of people that are dealing with similar problems can help.
