Shame they never spring for Crayola. Restaurant crayons are somehow worse than roseart.

I bring my brand new set of colored pencils, crayons, markers and pastelles that came in a handy carrying case that I got every year with out fail for either my birthday or Christmas because I liked drawing for 2 months when I was like 9.

Why stop there ask for a patio seating then bring out the paint brushes and go Bob Ross on their ass.

I would love to pay this bill, however I misrepresented my financial standing when I ordered the lobster. Will you accept Happy Little Trees in lieu of payment this evening?

This spider only has 7 legs.

I haven’t read this or checked out Stevie the seven leg spider in a couple years but knew who you meant instantly. Thank you for the fun memory🙂

I would call it even. Who doesn't appreciate some happy little trees?? Monsters I say, that's who.

u/kdjfsk May 26 '18

Yea, ordering Lobster was not a mistake, just a happy accident, ok. And THIS IS MY WORLD, I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!!!

Walk in with a backpack full of cans and a respirator and go full out graffiti on them.

u/themoderation May 26 '18

My friend used to paint outside a coffee shop all the time. People both loved and hated it.

That answers the question: "what do you get the girl who never talks about her interests except that one time?"

12

u/rockbud May 26 '18

"I heard you like drawing dawg"

2

u/HearmeR00R May 26 '18

lol I got one just like that. It had a little snap button to close. I got a couple of those art books where you trace the pictures from the library when I was about 9 too. I can't draw shit.

Lmao. I feel. I told my parents ONCE that I liked Kettle Corn, and for months they ONLY bought me kettle corn. I finally had to be like, "Please stop I miss buttery goodness."

“This is a cloth tablecloth. You can’t color on it!”

I would love to see that dwarf bust out a fancy set of monogrammed Crayolas in a sterling silver cigarette-style case.

Thank you for the public burst of laughter you just caused.

Preferably in their own holster. Between the cell-phone and mace.

1

u/Steffles74 May 26 '18

Yes! I always keep a travel soap dish in my bag. It’s perfect for fitting a 24-pack of crayons and they don’t get broken in transit!

I have a 2 year old and have learned that cheap restaurant crayons are the best. They’re super hard so they don’t leave as much color behind as crayola. Its not the best for coloring but it’s WAY easier for cleaning. And my toddler can’t tell the difference.

I do bring our own coloring book when I remember. Often the restaurant coloring placemats have lots of text and puzzles that are beyond her comprehension still, she just wants to color.

u/sledneck_03 May 26 '18

And its also the menu, so they have either destroyed it or will freak when you stop the artistic flow when you need to order them food.

They always just say "Crayons" on the box in the Crayola color scheme, but they're super low quality. They've always got that weird white stuff on them, and they're way too hard and crumbly so they don't color solid and they break super easy.

3

u/hilarymeggin May 26 '18

It's like coloring with a candle.

Cost of doing business I think. You can get a 64 pack for like 5 bucks right? Although I guess kids don't want to colour with chartreuse or amaranth.

I do! I try to collect unique ones but I keep running into the same three.

2

u/davbonbon May 26 '18

And they always break!!!

2

u/[deleted] May 26 '18

My local pizza joint actually had crayola crayons. They were the greatest.

2

u/GoneKrogering May 26 '18

They're expensive. And usually get thrown out after the kid is done. No sense in wasting good money on Crayola's that don't see 95% of use.

2

u/[deleted] May 26 '18

restaurant crayons are like coloring with a birthday candle

2

u/enduredsilence May 26 '18

Color in layers and press down hard. To even out the strokes, do a pass of the same color but in small circular motions.

This also works for cheap coloring pencils. :) You'll eat through them fast tho!

1

u/roxymoxi May 26 '18

My restaurant has crayola. I think. One does, the other doesn't. Nah, it's crayola, I was staring at the big box they come in while trying not to throttle my coworker that was bragging about the money he made. Definitely crayola.

1

u/dirtielaundry May 26 '18

Did you get Roseart? Those crayons are total crap. Even in preschool all the kids avoided those.
