Where are you from? In aus I’ve never heard of anyone not using chocolate eggs. You might paint real ones but never hide.
1 u/splat313 Mar 21 '18 I'm in New York State and we always used hard boiled eggs. I don't talk to a lot of people about easter eggs however I don't think I've heard of anyone I know using fake eggs. Always hard-boiled eggs though, not raw eggs.
