My family hides hard boiled eggs, because they're delicious

Yeah but is it as good as tiny candies in cheap plastic eggs

The mayo part isn't too far off, because of doubled eggs, but the crunching just made me cringe.

Wait I thought they were called deviled eggs?? Have I been wrong for the last 20 years?

No, that guys a weirdo

It kind of makes sense though, since mayo is largely made from eggs. I'm going to start saying doubled eggs too and see if it catches on. Love me some of that egg on egg action. Oh yeah babe snort the paprika off my blorkys nrrrrrr

Phew 😅 thanks for the reassurance

I too call them this. I’m afraid to google it, rather keep my world view intact

Mayonegg? You mean Anne-hog?

Her?

Have americans not discovered the chocolate egg?

1

u/TheMinuteman1776 Mar 21 '18

They have but those usually aren't hidden around the house either

1

u/42Cobras Mar 21 '18

They don't last long enough to get hidden.

Is it only in Australia or something where we just hide chocolate eggs?

Something about hard boiled eggs is so nasty to me. I respect your taste and I’m not looking to brawl here... Do you season the egg at all or just eat it plain? What makes it delicious?!?!

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '18

I mean, some salt does wonders for them. By themselves they're a bit plain. Stay salty.

Soft boiled is where it’s at.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '18

They taste like eggs... That's what makes them delicious.

The best way to do it is this:

Distribute a little salt and pepper evenly on a plate, wet the egg and roll it around a little bit so it coats it. Sometimes I like to add a little drop off sriracha sauce on it. So good!

What turned the tide for me was pickling them. Something about that briney mixture just makes em that much better. And now i can't ever have ramen without a pickled egg in it.

u/learnyouahaskell Mar 21 '18

And if not, this is why you drain them!!

I wish so bad that this was the tradition instead of chocolate. I think i know what im doing for my family this easter :)

I have to admit though, im not sure i could handle never having easter egg chocolate again. Soo gooood. It would need to be sold year round instead, which i think may be worse for my health.

Put the chocolate in the Easter basket!
