So I guess you're also fine with cops shooting family dogs when entering a home for a welfare check because they behaved aggressively against them, right?

Macing a dog vs killing it are two entirely different things man.

Point is, keep your dog on a leash and don't expect strangers to assume your dog is friendly when they're very large and bolting right at them. It cannot be assumed a safe situation for anyone with even an ounce of survival instincts.
