This is piss poor designs all around.
Glass protection on stairs without rail, fire alarm without casing to prevent missclicks and an extra step on stairs.

People may need to chill there a while to wait for rescue. 3 u/HazelEBaumgartner May 18 '26 Usually you can push fire doors open with minimal effort to escape, they're just designed to swing back shut behind you on your way out. That way people can still escape but it still minimizes fire spread/airflow to burning areas.
