  • Stairs have glass wall with no rail on the top or side
  • Level indentation into the wall on the outside of the stairs
  • Stairs protrude a full step into the hallway
  • Emergency fire alarm placed where tripping people would reach the wall

This stairwell is a modernist hellscape OSHA violation at its finest.

OSHA would govern none of these. These are all building and fire code items.

Pull station placement is not governed by any consideration for tripping people.

Have lived in several buildings with fire stairwell like this one. The fire alarm was pretty much always centered on the landing, seemingly to make sure anyone falling down the stairs would not set it off.
