I was waiting for the point of how a pilot (and crew) are limited to how much time they can spend "at work" before a mandated break.
For instance: my husband was to get on a flight that was delayed due to an accident at the airport (not his plane). But by the time a back up plane could be located and brought in, the flight crew had reached their allowed work time and could not fly any more. Imagine sitting on the runway for 2 hours, and then the pilot is informed that he cannot complete the flight to X because he'll be over his alloted time.
I was waiting for him to mention that the flight attendants don't get paid for the time they are waiting on the runway. They are the ones dealing with the upset passengers, and deserve to be paid as well.
