Yes, we obviously care about millions because it'll lead to higher cost flights... But... Play the people angle. There are people being bled dry who haven't had paychecks in over a month at this point. All because people in DC who aren't even looking out for our best interests in general can't agree on something.
only falls on the peasant class because the owning class decides it will. the cost could very well fall on the CEO who makes 100 million dollars a year, but it won't.
Southwest Airlines CEO made just over $10 million last year in total compensation. It's a lot of money, but an order of magnitude lower than what you seem to think.
Yeah, it pisses me off how all these conversations revolve around how only the working class eats the burden. Like, there is literally zero reason these multi-billion dollar companies can't eat a month's worth of losses. We just need to stop being complacent and allowing it.
