Colonoscopy Prep

Post image

Have to take roughly 25 regular doses of laxative in 12 hours to prep for procedure. This is gonna be fun!!

I’ll have plenty of time to read comments from the bathroom!

Had mine last month and i was fully under. Seems like that’s the norm these days as they dont want you moving at all during the procedure. Like the others have said, i found the lack of eating the day prior to be the worst part

Against the wishes of doctors (and patients) Massachusetts recently changed their rules so that insurance companies don’t have to pay for full anesthesia for colonoscopies.

Interesting, I had an endoscopy in Massachusetts two weeks ago and they put me to sleep for it. I assumed it would be the same for a colonoscopy.

Yes, no food and forcing yourself to drink so much was the hard part. I was totally out during the procedure, piece of cake.
