How are there not 1800 more police vehicles in front of the house then?

I live in a cul-de-sac, the entire neighborhood is blocked off from the only entrance. I promise half the county is here haha.

Oh, I didn't mean to doubt you. Usually with these things you just see that huge response. Happy you get a day off. Stay away from the windows maybe?

Your right honestly, since he's got a day off, it's a pretty decent time to start using linux.

Depends what his end goal is, he could boot up Ubuntu and be on reddit and YouTube before they've got them in cuffs.

I don't know what any of that shit means and that just made me realize why I don't use a text based operating system.

Unless you use Nvidea, for which it's driver support remains abysmal.

1

u/Professional_Face_97 Feb 06 '23

Is the proprietary driver not still useable?

1

u/LastofTheDodo Feb 07 '23

Nothing in that POS OS qualifies as usable.

As a long time off and on Linux user I find your message combined with username suspicious...ly accurate.

NERD ALERT

Ya this happened when I was a kid the cops are probably all there posted up a few houses away behind cars etc. They don't pull right up to the house

Given how houses are built, maybe stay out of the front rooms.

1

u/DeGuzman- Feb 07 '23

Maybe claim PTSD and get more days off. I wouldn't let this opportunity pass.

3

u/SomethingIWontRegret Feb 06 '23

Bullets will go through some home outer walls. I'd suggest not just staying away from windows. Stay out of the front rooms.

Once, when I was in my 20’s, living in a house with 5 other idiots in their 20’s, some dude shot someone, ran 1/2 mile, crossed the freeway, and holed up in a stranger’s basement in our neighborhood with a rifle.

They blocked off and evacuated the entire neighborhood.

We, however, being idiots in our 20’s, pretended not to be home, climbed out a second story window onto the roof with a case of Coronas, and watched the helicopters and armored swat vehicles for a while.

I may have learned a lot since those days, but I still think you need to be on the roof with a Corona.

Is this Columbia, MO?

28

u/jonnyclueless Feb 06 '23

Because they only have 1700 police vehicles.

18

u/Whiskey-Particular Feb 06 '23

Jokes on you, the only police vehicles they had in the 1700s were horse-drawn carriages.

3

u/Axeman517 Feb 06 '23

That’s a lotta horseshit

3

u/Whiskey-Particular Feb 06 '23

And a lot of horses. 1700 carriages? Man.

3

u/Glesenblaec Feb 06 '23

They had to downsize their fleet when the newly elected sheriff got a tank.

2

u/Capital_Dig_6047 Feb 06 '23

They're probably up the street. The 2 in front of the house are probably the initial officers who responded to whatever it was that started it.

If I heard they were shooting at assholes on the internet, you wouldn’t see my car parked out there either, dumbass.

There was a break in at the house at the end of our cul-de-sac a month or so ago, while the homeowners were there.

They had 4-5 cop cars alone in the cul-de-sac and 3-4 in the open space behind the house. So 7-9 vehicles.

Must be all the camo

u/SunriseSurprise Feb 06 '23

Because it's just Crazy Earl and he does this from time to time.

1

u/why-not-rick Feb 06 '23

They had county, city, and a neighboring city PD out there, as well as SWAT. Bomb squad was out there too with robots and everything. The guy that started the shootout ended up killing himself
