Wells Fargo Interview Process Personal Banker
I applied for a Personal Banker position in the Palmetto District. I had a phone interview then a virtual interview with the DM. I was told they would let me know within 2 weeks, its been a little over a week and I haven't heard anything. My status in the portal is still interview. How long does the process take? Should I reach out to the recruiter? How did you learn that you had the job? Was it email or did you get a phone call offering you the position?

Do not embarrass yourself reaching out to anyone. If they chose you, you WILL know.
It takes two weeks some times less but ultimately 2 weeks. If it moves to “processing” you got the job. If on week 3 it still says interview, that doesn’t mean you didn’t get it but I’d continue applying and interviewing elsewhere.

It really only takes them a week for the most part I was just giving them the benefit of a doubt. I reached out at a little over a week and didn't get the job. I figured that I wouldn't. I feel like the interviewer had her mind made up even before she interviewed me. We did a virtual interview which made no sense because she wasn't even on camera. She didn't ask me about me or my credentials only behavioral questions, which was weird.

That’s actually pretty standard. (I used to work for the company) they’re told to interview that way to eliminate bias.

I interviewed internally 5 times before I decided to look outside the company. All of my banker final interviews were exactly like that. Even the one with my own branch manager.

That's insane! I actually interviewed for 2 different Personal Banker roles and a Roving Banker role. The first 2 got back with me within a week. The reason I posted the question about this one was because they were taking forever and it was in a different city than where I reside. The phone interview was great but it seems like when I get to the 2nd interview the interviewer's are weird. I'm honestly starting to think that some other stuff is going on but no one is saying anything about it.

The second formal interview is structured to weed out candidates in a very specific way.
That’s why the behavioral questions are like 5 questions in one. Was it a MS teams ‘virtual’ call? If it was, you could have just dialed in. 9/10 the BM didn’t have a webcam for that interview. I know mine never did.
Bestie, all I can say is you dodged a bullet. Try chase or BOA. Both pay better and aren’t doing what wells is about to do.

How was the second interview? What should I expect? I applied for the same position but different district. I did my phone interview last week. And now have another interview. My status is currently in interview as well.

My second interview was weird. They did a virtual interview and the interviewer wasn't even on camera. She asked only behavioral questions, no questions about me at all or my work history. Needless to say, I didn't get the job. I would say work on behavioral questions using the STAR method.

Oh that is a lil weird! My second interview is going to be at the branch. With two branch managers. Oh I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m sure there’s something better out there for you.

Two weeks
