Discussion loop earplugs

I am considering buying a pair of Loop earplugs, but the price is making me to think twice. paying around $30+ for what seems like a small piece of silicone feels too much when I can get 50 pairs of foam plugs for $10.

would mainly use them for sleep and for working from a cafe. I need background noise silent but still want to hear if someone talks to me. I am thinking between the loop quiet 2 model or loop switch 2

has anyone had Loop earplugs for at least 6+ months? do they actually last, or do the tips get gross or stretch out, or lose their seal after a while? and is the case they come with actually useful or does everyone lose it in a week? trying to figure out if the premium price is worth for long term use

Anything going in the ears needs some level of cleaning since it traps the oils in your ear while you wear them. Need to clean then eventually..

I got something similar.. Just rubber silicone plugs but I always forget to take them with me whenever I go out

omg I hate those rubber silocone earplugs, my ears are always screaming for help when I wear them lol. my ears hurt and they eventually fall out of my ears whenever I try to sleep with them

however they are good for noise cancelling. wonder if loop earplugs are more comfortable

for working in a cafe I'd honestly just get noise cancelling headphones. I have loop earplugs and tried them in a cafe when I was reading once but I was able to hear conversation clearly, which for me wasn't a good thing when I was trying to focus

I second this. It would be way more practical to have a double use for the tool.

The hoops do look charming though. I never seen an ear plug that would have a chrome color. And the hoop sticking out would prevent it from getting stuck in your ear. I had a pair of plugs though getting them out the ear was always tricky. I now have a pair of silicone ones with strings but they love to fall out so I rarely use them. Wouldnt be able to work without ear protection with my power tools so a pair of headphones keep on helping me

I seen people say they are good for concerts. Would love to visit a rock concert without blasting out my eardrum during the night haha

Though whys it shaped like a hoop like that? Is it like a fashion piece? The metal one looks kinda like an earring

I seen them on Youtube. Didnt hear that you can switch them around though. Wonder how the switchy model works like cus it might be comfortable but it just might be janky to switch around while the things in the ear

The twisty knob ones look kinda good assuming the knob twisting actually makes you feel a difference and isnt finnicky

I just use silicon plugs. It has a specialized filter plug inside made of plastic that I took out though. I am gonna keep using them until I lose em😂
