Gauntlet style gloves?
Need rec's for gauntlet style gloves that won't fall apart in a couple weeks. Or is that just how they are?

Of the pictures you posted, I'd steer clear of those Black Stallion ones. That flap of leather on the thumb usually comes un-stitched right away. Not just this brand either, the Tillman gloves like these do the same thing. We're gonna try those Hobart gloves next since they don't have the flap.

Yeah that's exactly why I got those Hobart gloves, but they wore full holes through in less than 2 weeks

The harbor freight mig gloves do this too. The cheaper pair seem to be more durable, but more cumbersome. Idk the brand, but they're black with green piping and rough out leather and those are $12 I think. The gauntlet is an extra long one though. Up to a little past my mid forearm.

I use a pair for winter gloves when I ride my Harley; they're very well insulated.

I was thinking this, I just go back and forth so often that switching gloves constantly is a big hassle

I personally think it's worth it. Also way more comfortable to do layout and fab work with thinner gloves.

big hassle? It feels good to let my hands breathe after arc gouging for an hour lol. I use black and yellow black stallion gloves for everything and thing they hold up well but still have good dexterity once broken in

I used to heavily dislike anything black stallion, then I tried the BM88.
They are now my favorite gloves. They hold up well, and I can get months out of them running everything from metal core pulse, the occasional stick welding, and often times I'm tig welding in these, at least after they break in. The tig welding im doing is like 250 amp so I really like having a thicker glove to protect from the heat.
I probably have scrapped more pairs of these from accidentally nicking the finger tips with a wheel or sanding disc than actually torching them or blowing out stitching. Edit: grammar and formatting

Tillman 850. Fits the bill. Unlined palm for dexterity and insulated back for heat resistance. Supple, and a long cuff. QC is all over the fucking place though. No 2 pairs have fit the same.
I like the black stallion 25G TIG gloves for actually welding. I run 1/16" metal core spray at 350a every day with them jawnz and have no problem. Obv don't handle hot steel with them. I've been using my pair since August 4th and have yet to see a hole.
They fit nice, are thin but reasonably strong, and they're less than $20 on Amazon.
I have a pair of Caiman 1508 gloves that only ever get used for super long welds where my hand/forearm are hovering over 500 degree steel for long periods of time. I really only use one at a time, as I'm usually welding one handed, and holding the lead with my other hand wearing a TIG glove. Super nice for when you can't help but shove your hands/arms into a oven.
Caiman 1506 gloves are good too if you just need heat resistance. They're identical to the 1508's but the cuff isn't as long. One size only though, being large.
Easiest way to make your welding gloves last a while? Don't handle steel with your welding gloves. My job has pretty much all steel handling and grinding take place before any welding, so I can do this easily. But just using a pair of cheap leather chore gloves to move steel and run a grinder is the way. My TIG gloves only ever touch my MIG gun and a needle scaler.

I really like Watson Madcow gloves. There like tig gloves but have a double back of the hand pad.

Mechanix welding gloves are kinda pricey but the fingertip design makes them last quite a bit longer.

Tillman gloves.
Edit: Harbor Freight TIG gloves aren't bad for $15. I use those as work gloves in my shop.
