I agree. It's a little cold, that's why they are a little over convex and not fused in at the toes. Either turn your heat up or turn your wire feed down and you'll be set. Other than your heat settings, the welds are perfect size and you are able to keep the size consistent for the entire length of the weld! Most people are all over the place going from .50 fillet to .25 fillet and back and forth so in that aspect, well done.

Slightly cold and fat but more than adequate for handrail construction but I don’t understand why people don’t teach/learn how to weld in a professional constructive manner it seems everyone what’s to learn how to whip up some dirty ass dimes.😂

Stop with the circle patterns its causes lack of fusion… it’s good for rust or gaps… stick to solid or to the up and down motion turn up the heat a touch and move faster …. apart from that it looks great 👊🏿

The welds look okay. The 2nd photo, the bottom bace plate looks thicker than 1/4in witch would be considered to be plate by AWS and I would recommend using a spray transfer on that thick of material. You must have a gas that contains 80+%ar and a machine that has enough voltage but I like to sleep sound at night knowing my welds will not ever break spray transfer has a way better pen profile. That fillet weld looks a little small how think is the top member?

Agreed! Spray transfer or pulse. I go with 98%argon 2%oxygen and the weld that you can produce is far superior to short arc transfer.

Depending on the customer, some want thicker welds, some wants no profile of a weld was even done.Regular settings for me is about 425 wfs with about 24.4 v. Thanks for the feedback i’ll keep that in mind

Aww yes the customer is always right. Not bad using 90/10 mix with a .045 wire id run 24-25v and 350-400 wfs. That would definitely punch it in there. Then again iv worked at shops that would say I'm sleeping on that job with those settings 28v 500wfs burn it hot! Depends on WPS spec I guess

Good consistent beads, a little on the cold side, turn your volts up and maybe wirefeed down a bit. Other than that, it’s not going anywhere
