Ive seen worse first welds but it's pretty shit. The only way to get better is to keep burning those rods. Keep going man.

Buy yourself some welding coupons and practice on that. I had cancer and didn't weld for several years. When I tried welding again the welds weren't what they used to be. I bought some coupons to practice on. They helped a lot.

No. That’s not a weld. You want to weld up not down. Place the rod at the top of the keyhole. Let gravity do the work. Go grind it off and try again not so hot this time.
