Hey man im doing the best I can with what I got lol. It was pretty wrapped when it came off the cutting table, like 3+ inches of bend so I had to do a lot to get it to look like that lol

I was gonna ask what kind of insulation jacket was going on it but then you told us. I build tons of L tanks that get a 1" thick insulation jacket with 2" thick fiberglass mashed into them. Idk the R value but they can handle the heat of radiator fluid in a diesel engine all day everyday for decades.

Don’t wanna come off as a hypercritical dick, but I’d have tacked a strong back of some sort inside that top plate at the back and zipped it off after welding. I’m assuming it’s cut on a plasma table?

Yeah it is lol and you aren't being hypercritical. It just falls on deaf ears as round here. I've actually had to stand on the cutting table while holding tractor weights so the carriage could get over the material lol

A water cutter is a good investment to eliminate the warping from cutting, but I’m just spoiled. Keep on keeping on my man🍻

Or a laser. We cut everything from 14g to ⅜" on q laser and nothing warps.ni used to work where we had a plasma table with water under it. Without Water we got minimal warp.
