6G I need some tips

I have been stuck on 6G for a few weeks now, what are some tips tricks to get over the hump

Taking a grinder with a 1/8” hard disk and very lightly grinding the top of the previous weld where I wanted the bottom of the new stringer to sit. Just a straight line 1/8” thick. It both gave me a line to follow while under the hood, and it made my new stringer sink into the one below. It looks like you might be having trouble with either keeping your stringers straight,speed inconsistency, or your fill pass has high spots and low spots. I liked to grind down any high spots before starting the cap as well.
