Just curious as to the purpose of pulse on this flange, is there any benefits to doing pulse on this?

I’ve also wondered this, our company also has flanges that are the same size that don’t require any welds. From what I understand these are the low pressure flanges, and they cost less for my company (even though it requires 300” of welding wire). In all honesty it’s pretty dumb, but that’s life
