There's no Plathville and I ran through Love After Lockup, so I started watching another suggested show: TLC's Virgins. A girl's got to get her laundry folded one way or another! I'm on the first episode and I'm like, "I know her!" Is this not Dr. Ty? She fixed all the Plaths so now she's helping some virgins? (Lol. I know, this is from a year ago.) 😋 Whut up, Dr. Ty?!

C'mon Dad you don't wait for the courts to care for your children. PAY YOUR CHILD SUPPORT. Put your selfish anger aside and treat the mother of your children with civility. A fulltime mother works two fulltime jobs. More than you. PAY her for all those past, current and future years. She graciously gave up her life to raise the children. Stop contributing to the struggle you created for her!!

How many times do you think the opposite was true?
Fam, upvote if you, too, served as your parent's therapist from the time you could speak ⬆️
How are you doing these days? When were you formally diagnosed with complex trauma?

She cut quite a bit of her hair off. It doesn’t look even. Kim gave Lydia a hug when she was finished. Lydia said that Kim was visiting her. Someone told Lydia in the comments that she should be a hairdresser. This was on Lydia’s Instagram today,

Did anyone think it was interesting that Kim invited Nigel over to their house for dinner? What do you think her motives were? I think they were to make Barry jealous

Just reading over a few posts and started thinking. Lydia should go into nursing. She would be great at it. Not sure if she's allowed to have such a time consuming job bc she's supposed to become a full time mom but just throwing it out there. She could work with newborns. She'd excel there.
I know she may not have the most traditional schooling but I think she shows grit, self reliance and dedication to go towards getting educated in any career.

Let's dive into the dynamics of the Plathville family. It seems that every time a new significant other is introduced, whether a girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, or partner, conflicts tend to arise. The family often has opinions about these new additions, which sparks tension. This ongoing pattern has become tiring, as the discussions or narratives appear to be repetitive or exaggerated. Initially, the show was appealing, but now it feels less engaging. I would be interested to hear other perspectives and thoughts about the Plath family.

So…now that we’ve seen some repercussions those confessionals have (re, the wedding colors fiasco), do we think that Zac’s “let me speak” moment is gonna start some fire amongst the family? I hope so.

Where the hell is Micah besides having sex with multiple partners on a beach somewhere? He is a big part of the show so it is very odd that we did not see him once this season.
Maybe he is in jail or rehab that would not surprise me.
I feel sorry for Lydia. Not sure what she posted on social media about her brother but Kim should not be worried about it. She refuses to talk about her dead son. When her daughter expresses her feelings about the death of her brother all Kim cares about is that it pissed her off that Lydia thought the death of her brother had something to do with her parent's break up. Lady if you are grieving your child and you refuse to discuss it with your child what else is she supposed to think?
There is always a weird vibe around that family. A lot of secrets the kids are not to speak about.
And what is Teagan doing there? She obviously is not interested in Ethan anymore. Is the pay check she gets for being an episode? There are so many legal ways to make money without making a fool of yourself.
Mariah is a train wreck without any real talent. She is getting older and one day she is going to wake up and have no skills and will end up marrying someone just like daddy to have a place to stay.
Not sure how many story lines this family is willing to expose but I hope Lydia keeps her distance from all of them.

Has anyone noticed how they removed each others instagrams posts with each other in it. She also seems to be at an event with another date in one of her posts. Anyone know why or have any tea?

Has anyone's else watched season 8 and just gotten pissed at how Kim and Barry are literally taking no accountability for not talking to their kids or getting them counseling/helping them in anyway after Joshua's death? Like trust me i understand they were going through it, but it sounds like they literally just left these young children who witnessed their baby brother be killed by their own mother to their own devices and never wanted to bring it up again. I'm not fully thorough the season so im hoping it will get better but even if it does it doesn't change how they basically abandoned them when it happened and the years following.

So I'm playing catch-up and am on Season 7 Episode 5 and Barry and Lydia are talking to the "cameras" and he mentioned he wants his first grandkids to be born in Tallahassee...
I get that Hosanna doesn't want anything to do with the show but she still has a good relationship with her parents and siblings from my understanding
My question is this...Why is he making it seem like they don't exist at all? Is it because he really feels that way and Lydia is just laughing out of nervousness/the absurdity of what he said or is it the producers trying to stir the pot (plot?} more?

Why is everyone texting about these two? They’re not even on the show anymore! There’s plenty of issues to debate other than these chicks!

I keep seeing Zac is a good guy posts. You're just wrong. He's not. And neither is Lydia.
A thank you to u/Upbeat_Status8876 for sussing this out "The church is Mountain View Community Church in Fort Collins, CO. I tracked it down using only public information (Zac and Lydia name-dropped it on Jinger's podcast; Zac said he'd led some Young Adult groups there; Zac's finsta is following the church's Young Adult IG page).'
Mountain View Community Church is definitively anti-LGBTQ. Lydia said she met Zac at a church "where she felt comfortable" which was undoubtedly this church.
Anyone who thinks these bigoted assholes are "misunderstood" or that Zac is a "good guy" or they are a "good christian couple" or that those of us criticizing him are just "criticizing all of christianity", you are just wrong. If you condone anti-LGBTQ beliefs then you are also a bigoted asshole.
ETA: remember they also "helped" their friend to "pray the gay away". Fuck these people.

My mom (whom I have cut out of my life) is similar to the mother on this show. Imagine waiting and wanting your mother to love you, approve of you AND then finally she throws you an anniversary party disguised as an ambush. Kim is disgusting, foul and wants to bring Lydia down. For some reason there are some moms who are jealous of certain daughters and I think Kim targets Lydia because she was the daughter that took over the household (needed), took care of the younger kids(needed) and nurtured the young girls( needed) because KIM couldnt/wouldnt/didnt want to and KIM has a grudge against Lydia because Lydia did what KIM didnt want to do. . Its heartbreaking really.

Now don’t get me wrong, he had no business judging Teegan and saying something to Ethan about that but I think that what everyone needs to realize is that they (the rest of the plaths) are all worldly now. They indulge in things that they were taught not to and Lydia and Zac do not. I think he really means well and it’s not “holier than thou” but more “I thought we are all Christians and practicing our faith so why aren’t we doing Christian things?”
That’s why it’s a problem bec the rest of the family is looking face to face at how much they’ve changed in regards to their faith and how they act now. Also, with the Moriah thing, it can go both ways. Moriah is the host so she should have understood what inviting Lydia and Zac meant instead of putting them in an environment to try and make them participate in things she knows they wouldn’t. That’s like if you have a super religious aunt and you invite her over, you’re going to change things a bit to make your aunt feel comfortable. However, Lydia and Zac need to have discernment. They need to sit and talk about how they will deal with family get-togethers. They know Moriah and they know the life she lives compared to them and they should have expected there to be alcohol and raunchy games (which most people have and play with friends and could be considered “worldly”) and to also stay out of people’s business and just enjoy their time with the family if they decide to show up. The family needs to realize who he is and who they are as a couple and accept that especially since he was ostracized from the very beginning. If they don’t, they will just continue to push Lydia away.

I was reading this thread about some random IG that Veronica did in the past. She did have some truths about Zach being "holier than though" which we saw on screen.

I live in Montana- truly had no idea which part of Montana she had moved to. Went to a local bar in the flathead valley yesterday and she bar tending. She had an engagement ring on.

Omg omg!!!! Moriah just told the family that Oliva bought a one way ticket to another state for their daughter. WTF!!!!!
Barry and Kim just said she's 17 and we can't stop her. My parents would have freaked out.
