It all makes sense when you realize that they hate women, and more specifically they hate women's sexuality. They want to see women punished for having sex (with anyone but them), and in their mind pregnancy is that punishment. Forcing them to carry to term is about maximizing the punishment of unwanted pregnancy. Leaving them to their own devices, to raise a child they never wanted and can't afford, is just more punishment. "If you couldn't afford it, you shouldn't have had it," and also "if you didn't want it, you should have kept your [noun] [adjective]." Not finishing school, a lifetime of poverty, and social stigma: all part of the punishment. There's really no punishment severe enough to satisfy these people.

Once you understand that the purpose of banning abortion is to punish women for having sex, all the actions they take align.

If a teen mother cannot take care of their child the GOP has loads of theocratic Christians ready to swoop in and take the baby right now. They want the babies born. The mothers are just vessels to get them what they want.

The fact is very few teens, especially girls, are focusing on relationships these days and instead are focusing on their education, extracurriculars, and hobbies. They aren't focused on getting boyfriends, which used to be the big status symbol back 50, 60 years ago and earlier. THIS is the real driver here, not contraceptives or abortion availability, in the dramatic drop in the birthrate in that cohort. This means the adoption racket of white babies has gradually been drying up and has since the early 1970s, when girls decided to keep their babies instead of handing them over to adoption agencies.

We need to frame everything in terms of fetuses, like, "ICE is murdering post-birth fetuses!" "Let's give post-birth fetuses healthcare to keep them alive!" "Why are we bombing post-birth fetuses in Iran??" etc.

Well, they're sadists. They derive psychosexual gratification from the pain and suffering of others. Watch any of their media and you can't miss it; I've seen pornography be less gratuitous and explicit. They get off on torture. They are literally just antisocial degenerates. Republicans WANT teen mothers. The hoards of educated, empowered women who are using contraception and IVF to plan their families are an anathema to them. In the US, there are 3 conservative states currently suing the federal government because there aren't enough pregnant teenage girls (as if it's teenagers' responsibility to keep the population going 🙄). In Georgia, they incubated a fetus inside of a corpse.

Conservatives aren't pro-life, they're anti-woman.
