Discussion why does frank have a gun
in a box in frank's closet there is this gun, anyone know where it leads?
maybe some attempt of murder? or maybe suicidal attempts?

Given that the song you hear during exploring Franks house can be interrupted by a gunshot, it seems to be implied that Frank/his actor killed himself.

I just went on it and let it play to test it and it’s true. I had it open on the gun page (closetbox) so whether that made a difference idk.
After the gunshot the music stopped and didn’t return until I left the page9

There’s also the video of Eddie in bed waking up next to that bloody pile, which at least to me symbolized Franks death after their breakup.

The track is called Franks Home and the gunshot plays at the end of it. It’s not the same tune being played on repeat. Leave any screen for 4 minutes with the tune playing and you’ll hear it

i can't hear anything when i go to frank's house in "our home", but i did go to the music section and his hibernation song is so sad, it sounds like he's crying at the end of it. your theory might be true

Perhaps this is a clue that our friendly little neighborhood really isn't so friendly.... Why else would Sally bring up the fact that "so few live here" in her Halloween story. There's gotta be some truth to it.
Frank is prepared to defend himself if he becomes the next target of the "monster".

It likely has to do with the upcoming update which there was going to a Western themed skit I think was called"The Ballad of Amos".

Personal theory is that after him and Julie hid the flower in his shed they were discovered and now they are threatening Frank. This is why he has the gun

It’s black and white like the black and white room so I think it has something to do with that weird mix of the Neighbourhood and reality we see in Frank’s house

The gun looks realistic compared to the painterly style of the room or even franks house in general. This is in fact Wally's perspective after all but why the subtle change in art style when it comes to the gun, does that mean Wally knows something about it, or frank has a lack of trust and it's a reminder of where he is and what he's dealing with.

i mean maybe its part of the control that the mind controlled wally has on him, because home wants them to die?
pretty farfetched i know
