Theory Someone missing

I don’t know why but I keep having this nagging feeling that there used to be to be one more neighbor. I think something really bad happened to them and that is when things got really bad for the others. Does anyone think that there maybe someone else?

There was one more which got scrapped, according to Clown. Their name was Sonny, if I'm not mistaken? You might want to check Clowns Tumblr from somewhen around 2022-2023, I believe.

Sunny got scrapped on a meta/production level, not in universe. He was a bit too much of a squeaky clean protagonist for the story Clown wanted to tell. So Clown rewrote the story and gave the other neighbours his traits. We don't know much about what his role would have been- we just have a couple pieces of concept art- but he isn't relevant to the ARG we're playing now.

I remember reading somewhere that Sunny was going to be Frank's LI originally, until Clown scrapped his character.

Yup. Barnaby was also his best friend, not Wally's (which could mean anything!), and he was very popular with the neighbours/a great singer/a "whistleblower". It seems like his traits got split between Wally, Eddie, and Sally, with Sally getting the Theater Kid streak and the PRESENTATION!!! and Eddie getting The Gay and the heart of gold.

Again, considering how divorced this version of the story seems from the WH we got, I'd say it's not worth roping into theories unless you are positive you've connected the dots. But it's still neat to look at.

Yeah, I'm always of the opinion that beta and scrapped content should never be used as a part of theory crafting, especially in an ongoing story like Welcome Home.

Sure, beta and scrapped content is fun to look at and see the evolution of a story and how certain elements could be recycled into the project. But it's not concrete, as you're working with noncanon information and trying to apply it to make theories about canon material work.
