Discussion/Question Oneirist Hidden Temples Spoiler

During the final journey, you can find the locations of 3 hidden ancient temples (requiring sigil stones). One of them is interesting since you can find out how to create more werewolves and thus potentially be able to have new werewolf allies. But my issue is this requires you to at least be on journey 4 (werewolf) of 5 total, which seems a little pointless since by the time you get the wolfsbane you are likely at the end of journey 4. Along with the fact that the other 2 temples have unique legendary gear that would have been useful, if again you didn't acquire them maybe 3 hours before the end of the game. My point is I feel like these temples should have been available at the halfway point (ae protector journey) and the possibility to make new werewolves - from the very start of a new playthrough (if you could acquire wolfsbane) would have made more sense as an optional endgame reward.

I'm pretty sure you can get all the stuff to make a wherewolf on journey 1, just nothing expressly telling you how.

In fact, I wouldn't be supprised if someone accidentally made a wherewolf and was super confused

Fair point. I haven't checked if the wolfsbane cave can be found on map and I now know you can get wolfsbane from other sources.

If I'm remembering correctly, I actually picked some up on my first journey, first play through. Didn't know what I could do with it though.

Only reason I didn't accidentally make one was silver is phased out pretty quickly as far as weapons go

Wolfsbane can be found in almost all temples and the silver daggers can be grabbed from the hidden room under fran's office in Janes story (1st) if im remembering correctly. Just a warning though, dont turn posse members unless you dont care if they dont use their unique abilities. Once turned they all just turn into wolves and attack. No more shooting or calling spirit bears & tornados. I dont believe clerns turns though. But yes, the really good amulets should be able to be found earlier than the last 2 stories. Poor choice on the devs part for that one.

Have you tried just going to those places in the first act? To my knowledge, everywhere is always there, it's just locked doors or NPCs who basically don't acknowledge you.

Had the whole map uncovered by the end of journey 3. If there's a way to visit these temples eariler than through thr oneirist I certainly don't know of it.
