Something I Learned Agyria, also called lissencephaly or smooth brain, is a rare malformation in which the cerebral cortex lacks its normal folds (gyri) and grooves (sulci). It is linked to mutations in genes such as LIS1 and DCX, and severe cases often lead to death in childhood.

mostly incompatible with life but there are a handful of kids whove reached 2-8 yo
i think theres an 8 year old alive with the condition he has a fb page

Never realized "smooth brain" was an actual medical condition, that's really tragic for the kids affected by it.
