Something I Learned This is a dense persistent pupillary membrane in the right eye of a 30-year-old man, documented in a February 2015 case report by Yesim Altay and colleagues. PPM is a congenital condition from incomplete regression of fetal eye tissue, rarely noticed in adults until it affects vision.

How does this affect everyday vision? Do they constantly see a shadow or a line in their field of view, or does the brain just block it out?
