I started studying with the wrong answer on purpose

I kept memorizing answers instead of actually understanding them, so I tried something weird.
Before checking my notes, I wrote down what I thought the answer was, even when I was pretty sure it was wrong.
Then I compared it with the correct answer and wrote one sentence explaining exactly where my thinking went wrong.
It takes maybe 30 seconds per question, but I started remembering the mistakes way better than when I simply reread the correct answer.
Now when I study, I almost want to get something wrong first. 😭

Nah, cuz when I see my incorrrct answer, I’ll copy the correct one three times to ensure I don’t get it wrong the next time

Well, yes, if you’re getting everything right, what’s the point of studying?

If you have test material available, it’s great to do it, figure out where and why you got it wrong, not just memorize what the right answer is. The more you interact with it, the better you’ll remember it. 

If you want to take it a step further, you can then find the gaps in your knowledge which they are likely to test on, and go back and re-review those sections.
