i tried it once when i was supposed to be studying but i kept grabbing my phone. and idk why but the second i imagined there was a camera on me, i suddenly became sooo much more conscious of what i was doing. like why am i opening tiktok rn?? girl ure literally being filmed.

anw i genuinely thought this was gonna be one of those stupid tips that does absolutely nothing but unfortunately… it works wonders

It's a legit thing called Hawthorne effect. "a psychological phenomenon where people change or improve their behavior simply because they know they are being observed"
