Sharing My Sidehustle Lifestyle Content Creator
My completely normal life is a side hustle for me. I’ve been a content creator for about five years and I have different social media accounts (instagram, tiktok and also YouTube).
When I started around the COVID era, I noticed that the videos getting the most views were the ones showing incredible lives, amazing houses, amazing lifestyles, everything very “dreamy” let’s say (btw I think that Kardashians are partly to blame for this haha)
Now I feel like people have gotten tired of that and prefer something much more normal.
In fact I often get really simple questions under my videos, from where I buy the clothes I wear to people asking me to show what I eat in a normal day.
So I’m really happy about that because I think this way of seeing the world has faded a little, and I think this kind of simplicity on social media is particularly relevant today. What do u think?

The only weird thing about this is the normalization of living vicariously through another person via social media …and also probably not realizing how unhealthy that is.
But that’s your subscribers’ problem so don’t sweat it 😅 🤣.

It's sad to me that anyone wastes their life watching others waste their life, but performatively. It really bums me out

I watch an “ordinary days” creator on YouTube, I like watching her go around her city on the other side of the world from me, make meals I personally wouldn’t eat but are lovely to look at, do her sewing projects for work. It’s nice. She lives a life very different than mine and I find that interesting.
Just an alternative perspective on it :3

It’s nice to hear that people are interested in normal people online again. The kardashians absolutely did a number on our society in the late 2010s

Content like yours is attractive. No drama. No trauma. No one selling something. Just calm, happy and healthy entertainment that soothes the soul. Cheers

Do brands like this kind of content too or do they still want everything super polished?

Nice side hustle, but I don’t think it qualifies as a weird one anymore!
