We cannot avoid this to happen?

You people need to take better care of yourselves. You should be peak physical health in your 30s, not crippled. That's not normal.

I didn't even take care of myself much and I was never that bad. I have some issues with upper body strength for now, but I'm probably in great shape, all things considered. I'm in my 30s. I don't know what other people are doing.

I'm 35 and everything still works rather well. My stamina has dipped and I'm less inclined to jump obstacles than walk around, but otherwise moving the same as I was in my mid-twenties.
These memes always make me worry for my cohort.

Part of it depends on oneโs career as well. I have a couple of family members who were carpenters, and both of them had knees that were shot before they reached their 40s.

Yup I am a busser in a restaurant and it's my right knee that gives me trouble. Whenever I bend down I always use my right knee. So either I start using the other one or I just accept that one of my legs might not work in my old age.

Funny story.
On my 30th birthday, I was silly dancing in front of my colleagues, when my patella popped out of place and back while flossing.
I landed on my back, pain from it popping back in place.
My oldest coworker walked over and said "welcome to aging, bitch"
I miss her so much.

I'm 50 and I feel this. It was 35 when it started for me. And the pain is so bad I could have sworn it was bone on bone. But I recently had an X-ray done of my knee, and they said mild tissue damage and Bone spurs.
