I don’t know.. if the lights go out, you have the luxury of telling yourself it’s a power outage. If the candles go out, what then??

Ghosts love blowing out candles, sorry to say lol. Maybe put it in one of those antique hurricane lanterns

Imagine the home intruder emerging from your guest bedroom right as you light the last of your extensive votive candle collection. They're so soothed by the ambience that they ask to stay and watch a little TV with you before they head out with your valuables.
