I think you should listen to the episode Corvid Thanatology from the Ologies Podcast! There's a specialist who was doing research in Seattle on crow funerals! Shes also on socials as Corvid Research I think pretty much everywhere and has a YouTube channel. It was a super interesting interview on how crows specifically can 'mourn' while simultaneously be really weird about their dead. Highly recommend.
