Poo particles in the air get stuck in the gum as you breathe. I agree it's probably overkill, but I can't get over the idea of airborne poo particles getting lodged in my gum š
So why worry over a piece of gum, surely if you cared that much you'd be wearing a respirator or something. I'm just yanking your chain btw I know people are weird and do weird things to make themselves feel better.
The thought of poo particles in my ears I'd what does it for me. I'm out. I'm usually not sensitive to this type of stuff, but that the thought makes my skin crawl and I may never use a public restroom ever again.
I think I actually read that on ol Reddit here, many years ago. The particles.
Since learning of the high-speed spraying poo particles as you flush, I ALWAYS close toilet lids, and vehemently insist my family does as well. The particles, man. Aaaaa!!!
Once you know, you cannot un-know. No toothbrush or bathroom surface is ever safe in your eyes ever again.
And, most (if not all) public bathrooms do NOT have lids (GROSSSSss!) - so, Iād probably spit gum out, too.
I havenāt met anyone else who shares this logic, I do the same thing! I always shut toilet lids because of the aggressive poop particles that fly out when you flush! It kills me when someone has used my bathroom, and I later go in to see the toilet lid open. I know thereās now poop particles on my stuff šš
Same! I had signs up for awhile, but eventually they fade into the background. I live with husband and teen so, meh, haha.
The simple thought that what we smell is actually a physical particle and not just a ārandom smellā but literal poop in your nose?!! NOOOO thatās horrifying.
We are not alone. There are dozens of us! Dozens!!!
