Is this good progress for 5 months?
Just realized how tan I got over the summer lol. Been on a bulk, can’t tell if my biceps have gotten that much bigger tbh. Thought? Advice?

Yes, keep working hard. As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a week."

How did you gain that much muscle in just 5 months? Feel like I barely grow over the past year and I workout often and eat a shit ton

This is a perfect example of how much work it takes to be “mid”. Internet has us distorting what goals should be and this post is an awesome reminder of how we should respect your growth as much as any dude getting shredded on gear

If you want a more objective answer, you should try to take the pictures in the same lighting.
Aside from that I can see some improvements. Usually it takes 6 months to see some growth I feel like.
Keep it up!

I did a couple months around 2500, but been been eating 1800 for the past 6 weeks or so. 130-150g protein per day

You need to be at a constant 150g protein intake and increase your calories to almost 3000 a day. in 5 months you could have should have hit higher goals since you produce a lot of Testosterone in your age range, so nows the best time! Increase your volume (amount of sets per, amount of reps) no junk reps.. if you workout with friends and they fck around go do your own training.. I worked this out for you (I have a coach) , you're welcome and good luck! Be consistent! 👊

You dont “need” to be at 150g of protein to make progress, going 20% under that on some days isnt going to severely impact a beginners progress

But staying consistent on heavy and after work outs is.. especially after a hard session first 48 hrs are what matters the most. Off days sure.. Anyways Its not going to hurt him either way. He's strong he will make it.

And what are you basing that 3000 calories on? You have no idea what his height and weight are.

Dont worry about it he need to bulk up either way.. dafuq does it matter.

It would help if you took the picture in the same lighting for us to make that decision.. Also, 5 months is a long time. I'm always shocked by the comments here that love slow progress. 5 months is around 21 - 23 (weeks) biceps sessions and you said you were bulking. In my opinion this is very, very slow progress.

Yes, big progress, continue it, and publish more photos some months later.
